Decorated with white chianca pavemtens and a solid wood ceiling with exposed beams throughout, the suite is split across two floors (second and third floor of Casa La Torre). The second floor is a double bedroom with a private bathroom, an open wardrobe, a living area and a ‘Juliette’ balcony. In addition, on the upper floor there is a comfortable sofa bed for a third guest if needed, a second bathroom and a kitchen area for simple preparations.

The private terrace overlooks the village of Via Perrini, an ideal place to start the day with a relaxing breakfast or enjoy the return from the sea at sunset among the baroque churches of the historic centre.

What is the history of the Prickly Pear?

A very ancient fruit, probably originating in Mexico, it rests on the blades of a tree that can reach 4-5 metres in height. It is said that the plant arrived in the Old World around 1493, the year Christopher Columbus’ expedition returned to Lisbon. From here it quickly spread throughout the Mediterranean basin where it naturalised to the point of becoming a characteristic element of the Mediterranean landscape.

What is the carob tree?

An evergreen tree and a protected species in Apulia, the carob tree is a typical Mediterranean plant, the fruits of which are mainly used to obtain flour (carob flour) or to be eaten raw.
